Dr. Tarlok Singh Sahota Ph. D. CCA - Director of Research and Business Originally from a family farm, Tarlok, with a Ph.D. in Agronomy and an International Course for Development Oriented Research in Agriculture, Wageningen, The Netherlands, has 30 years of experience in agricultural research, extension and development worldwide. Tarlok has made a significant impact on farms by introducing new crops/crop varieties and beneficial nutrient management practices. Tarlok is an Ontario CCA since 2007, is a member of the OFCC, and American Society of Agronomy and an Eastern Director of the Canadian Society of Agronomy. He had developed over 10,000 acres under contract mint farming for AM Todd Company USA and has managed large scale commercial farms, including a fresh produce export project.

Harjit Dhillon - Research Technician Harjit comes from a farmer’s family, is M.Sc. in Agronomy, and has ~ 10 years experience in agricultural research and food production and processing industry. He had been assisting Dr. Sahota in execution of the research programs at TBARS since August 2006 except for a break in the 2009 crop season. Harjit is an Ontario CCA since 2010.

Blaine Tomeck - Agricultural Research Technician Blaine, well versed with small plot research, was born and raised on a family farm in Thunder Bay and has been working at TBARS since 1996. Prior to his years at the Thunder Bay Agricultural Research Station, he worked for Agriculture Canada in potato and forage variety research.

Limin Luan - Agricultural Research and Extension Technician Limin is M.Sc. in Crop Physiology from Henan Agricultural University, China and M.Sc. Agronomy from Nova Scotia College of Agriculture. Limin has worked as a Research Assistant at the Nova Scotia Crop Development Institute and as a Greenhouse Scout at the MGS Horticultural Inc Leamington, Ontario. Limin joined us in April 2011.
